Thank you for taking time to view our website. We are located in Virginia and have owned dogs all of our lives. They are such a big part of our family.

How the Boerboel came into our lives: We wanted a dog that looked intimidating but did not have an aggressive mind. The Boerboel was the perfect fit for our property and home.

Are Miniature Boerboels just Boerboels with dwarfism?

No. Miniature Boerboels are NOT the result of dwarfism. They are purposefully bred using the same foundation breeds as full-size Boerboels, but selected for smaller size while maintaining proper proportions and health.
Are they just the runts of Boerboel litters?

No. Miniature Boerboels are not selected "runts" from standard Boerboel litters. They are a distinct breeding program with their own lineage and standards.
What is their temperament like?

Miniature Boerboels share the same wonderful temperament as their larger counterparts — loving, loyal, protective of family, and very intelligent. They make excellent alarm dogs and devoted family companions.
How long do they live?

Miniature Boerboels typically have a longer lifespan than full-size Boerboels due to their smaller size, often living 10-14 years with proper care.
